EHDL1 Accessory Handle Makes Every Fieldpiece Accessory Head a Stand-Alone Instrument
BREA, Calif., November 26, 2001-- Fieldpiece Instruments, whose popular "stick" style meters, heads and accessories are designed specifically for field service, has developed a new Electronic Accessory Handle, which converts any Fieldpiece accessory head into a stand-alone meter. The EHDL1 has all the ranges needed for use with all Fieldpiece accessory heads and has a LCD readout built right in. It also has a MIN/MAX feature that enables the user to capture both minimum and maximum readings.
The addition of this accessory handle to the Fieldpiece line has increased the adaptability of Fieldpiece Accessory Heads. The heads can plug directly onto the stick meter, they can connect to a DMM with AHDL1 handle or deluxe test leads, or they can plug directly onto the EHDL1 handle. Fieldpiece offers a comprehensive range of accessory heads that are designed to provide accurate measurements for the wide variety of parameters encountered by the field service technician. Parameters measured by Fieldpiece accessory heads include contact temperature, air temperature, non-contact temperature, relative humidity, wet bulb temperature, carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, amps AC, amps DC, vacuum, gas pressure, milli-ohms, air velocity, and micro-amps.
"The addition of this handle makes our accessory heads more versatile than ever!" said Rey Harju of Fieldpiece. "The EHDL1 converts any accessory head into a standalone instrument. Having the EHDL1 in their tool bag gives the technician the option of a backup meter for all his accessory heads."
The EHDL1 plugs into the bottom of any Fieldpiece accessory head. The technician simply selects the appropriate range, either 200mV or 2000mV, selects AC or DC, and the EHDL1 LCD displays the reading, updated at 2.5 times per second.
The LCD display is a 3 1/2 digit with a maximum read of 1999. The MAX/MIN Hold and DATA Hold operate on all ranges.
At a trade price of $24.95, the price is low enough to make an accessory head and handle about the same price or lower than a standalone instrument.
